This week's report from Audlem St James CE School incudes:-

Friends of Audlem St James

Friend's held a successful Film Night on Monday, raising £200 for school funds – many thanks to all of the volunteers and staff who helped to make this event happen.
The next fundraiser will be a non-uniform Gold Coin Day on Friday, 8th February. All money raised will go to Friends of Audlem School.

Goodbye and Thank You

We say farewell to Mrs Chamberlain this week. Mrs Chamberlain is one of our talented and dedicated Beanstalk volunteer readers who has worked with many children in school during her time volunteering and she will be greatly missed. We thank her for her hard work and commitment during her time at our school.

Dangerous and Inconsiderate Parking

I have been informed this week of several cars parking on pavements and across the zig-zag lines outside school at pick up times this week. I would like to remind all parents and carers to consider the risk to the safety of all of our children, other pedestrians and local neighbours that dangerous and inconsiderate parking causes. Where vehicles are parked on pavements or block access for emergency vehicles, drivers are causing dangerous obstructions. The zig-zag lines outside schools are there for everyone's safety.
I have been in touch with PCSO Nick Jarvis about this matter again this week and he will continue to issue fixed penalty notices to any vehicle causing an obstruction when he spot checks outside school at the beginning and end of the school day. I would urge all carers to consider where and how they park and give themselves additional time to park away from school and walk the final part of the way into school wherever possible so we can work together to ensure the safety of our children.
