Report on the past year

This week's AGM was a chance to stop and reflect on just how much FASA's fundraising events have achieved again this year. FASA's Chair, Deborah Varley, presented a report outlining all of the wonderful resources and projects the money raised.

FASA have managed to beat their fundraising target for this year and have raised an amazing £4444! This money will be invaluable in supporting planned work. The AGM meeting was once again testament to the energy and enthusiasm the FASA team give to school and the generosity of parents and the local community.

Changes for next year

Whilst the existing committee members have worked incredibly hard over recent years, we are sadly at the point where many members are leaving us as their children move on to High School.

I would like to thank Mrs Varley, Mrs Grange and Mrs Goodwin on behalf of staff, children, parents and Governors. They have worked tirelessly to organise a wide range of FASA events and their energies and commitment to FASA have been much appreciated.

We were delighted to welcome nominations for new committee members at the AGM; thank you to all of the parents and carers who attended and to those who have put themselves forward for committee roles. The new committee will be working with the outgoing committee to plan the Summer Fair and will also be seeking parent representatives for each class.

Details of the committee, how to become a class representative and plans for FASA events next year will be sent out in due course.

Dates for your diary

FASA will be providing ice-lollies for all of the children competing at our Sports Day on next Thursday.

FASA's next meeting, to plan the Summer Fair, will be held on Monday 19th June at Bridgemere Garden Centre Café (near Hobbycraft) at 10am – please do attend if you can.

Our Summer Fair will be held on Wednesday 5th July. We will be holding a Non Uniform day for Tombola donations (bottles or chocolates please) next Friday (23rd June).
