Stay Connected at Audlem St James CE Primary School

This week again I felt more like a Headteacher as we welcomed Year 6 back. We have seen over 80 children back this week which has been fantastic and lovely to feel more children in school. The warmth from the children and parents has been amazing and it has been reciprocated from staff.

A letter has gone out that over the next few weeks we will be hoping that Yr2/3 and Yr4/5 weather permitting will be having a social distancing picnic in the school grounds. This will mean that we will have seen all children by the end of the school term.

I know I have said it a lot but 'I'm the proudest headteacher in the country seeing the children wearing their
school uniform and waiting to come through those doors.'

This week has gone smoothly with lots of happy faces and children just wanting to speak to their friends. Yr6 have started to work on transition to high school and Yr1/ Rec have been working on this term's topic work.

Mrs Maughan, Mrs Burgess and Miss Clarke are working on videos to send to the new starters to discuss what they will be doing in class as well as introducing themselves. Can I just remind New Starters that a Pop up shop for uniform will be taking place on Thursday 23rd July at school. This will hopefully be an opportunity to meet class teachers as well as seeing some of the school as well. We look forward to seeing you.
