Welcome Back!

Welcome back to our busy summer term, I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter break. We are all looking forward to the exciting topics and events planned for the term ahead and I look forward to sharing updates with you throughout the final term of this academic year.

It has been wonderful to have some sunshine to enjoy at the start to our summer term; let's hope we see lots more of the sun over the coming months!

Our Wonderful Worship Leads led our worship on Wednesday and shared stories of resilience and keeping going when the going gets tough. They helped us reflect on how we can gain strength and belief from ourselves and those around us to help us not to give up on things when they don't go our way or to our liking. It was a wonderful collection of games, song, stories and prayer and they all did a wonderful job.

Safety Matters

There were a number of serious safety issues caused by dangerous and inconsiderate parking outside school on Heathfield Road before the Easter break. On several occasions I was made aware of parents parking on the pavement and blocking the pedestrian access into school directly outside our entrance gates causing children to have to navigate their way into school on the road in direct danger of being hit by passing cars.

I am currently working with PCSO Nick Jarvis to petition Cheshire East Highways to extend the zigzags outside school and to place additional yellow lines across the entrance area to school to clearly indicate this danger. In the meantime, it is vital to the safety of the children in school that we all work together on this.

Please be considerate of the children and adults who need to be able to access school grounds via the pavements and, wherever possible walk to and from school or park a safe distance away from school and walk along Heathfield Road for the final part of your journey to and from school.

Thank you for your cooperation with this.
