School Places Applications -Deadlines

For the full press release, please see attached document. Basically, the deadline for secondary school applications is 31 October 2020 and 15 January 2021 for primary schools and online applications are preferred.

Council reassures parents on school places and calls for September 2021 applications

Cheshire East Council has opened the process for school applications for entry to both primary and secondary school in September 2021 and prompts parents to complete their applications before the deadlines.

The council has a statutory duty to ensure that there are enough school places and forecasts pupil numbers using the Local Plan, the document that sets planning policies and allocates the number and location of new homes. Currently there are a number of school expansion projects both in progress and in the pipeline, with 465 new places planned for September 2021 and a further 450 places at a later date. The total investment on these projects is around £22.5 million.
