Wonderful Work to Support Our School

This week's AGM was a chance to stop and reflect on just how much Friend's fundraising events have achieved again this year. The AGM meeting was testament to the energy and enthusiasm the Friends team give to school and the generosity of parents and the local community.

Friend's Chair, Lindsey Hockenhull, presented a summary outlining all of the projects and resources the money raised has been used for. This money will be invaluable in supporting planned work, including Friends' £5,000 donation towards our planned toilet refurbishment project this summer. We are sending out a flier from Friends outlining some of their work this year with this newsletter.

The existing committee members have worked incredibly hard over the last year and I would like to thank them all for their commitment to this important work for school and all of our children. I would particularly like to thank Lindsey Hockenhull and Sam Latham on behalf of staff, children, parents and Governors as they step down from their roles. They have worked tirelessly to organise a wide range of
Friends events and their energies and commitment to Friends have been much appreciated. Thank you also to Vicki Ammundsen and Sarah Barnett who have agreed to continue their roles as Secretary and Treasurer for another year.

We were delighted to welcome nominations for new committee members at the AGM, thank you to all of the parents and carers who
attended and to those who have put themselves forward for committee roles.

Claire Wright and Pam Jones join the committee as Chair and Vice Chair respectively and I am sure they will enjoy great support from all parents in their new roles. Minutes from the AGM are now available under the Friends tab on our school website or via this link: Here
