School Newsletter from Becky Jewitt continued from yesterday :

Sports News

Congratulations to our school football team who proudly represented our school on Tuesday in the Nantwich Indoor 5 a side finals. The team came fourth overall for our area which is a fantastic achievement and we are all very proud of them.

Thank you to all the children, parents, grandparents and staff who shared our Active Audlem start to the school day yesterday. Once again, a super way to get everyone awake and ready to start the day!

FASA

Many thanks to all of the families who supported our FASA Film Night last night. The children had a great time enjoying both the film and food! Well done to the FASA team for yet another successful fundraiser.

Dates for your diary! FASA will be holding a 80s and 90s Disco for adults at Audlem Public Hall. This will be on Friday 27th March from 7.00pm – 12pm. There will be a hotpot supper included in the ticket price of £7. Tickets are available from the School Office, FASA members, the Post Office and Williams newsagents.

FASA are also busy preparing for a special Easter event on Wednesday 1st April. It will be held after school from 3.15pm – 5pm and will include a range of Easter activities and stalls including an exciting Easter Egg Hunt! We hope you will be able to join us for this.

ABC Childcare

I am attaching an overview of the range of exciting activities on offer at ABC this month. ABC would like to say well done to all of the children who attend their after school clubs. They have been delighted to see how caring the older children are with younger members of the clubs.

The enthusiasm all of the children have at all of after school clubs is lovely to see.

Staffing Update

During Mrs Naden's absence we have arranged for a cover caretaker to work in school to ensure all of Mrs Naden's jobs are covered. Mrs Challinor will be working with me to ensure the smooth running of caretaking throughout school over the coming weeks and we welcome her to our school.

PCSO Visit

Our PCSO Nick Jarvis will be visiting school next Wednesday and will be available on the playground throughout lunchtime for children to chat to and ask any questions they may have. This is the first of what we hope will be a series of 'Police Surgeries' for the children in the coming months/terms, so that children become familiar with Nick and his important role in our local community.

Those Magnificent Men – TAVA Production

A reminder that TAVA's next production is due to take place in the Scout & Guide Hall this Saturday, 7th March. There are still a few tickets left – please contact Janet on 01270 811250 or email Tava.Audlem@ymail.com Tickets cost £9 Adults, £6 Children (age suitability 7+) and £27 for a Family ticket.

Finally

I met with the Chair and Secretary of the Parent Forum this week to set the agenda for our next
meeting. The meeting will be held on Monday 16th March from 7pm – 8pm in the school hall. Thank you to those parents who have suggested agenda items. Agendas will be sent out to all families early next week.

The Forum is YOUR Forum, a chance to ask school about any areas of school life you are concerned about or wish to celebrate.
Please send any comments about agenda items you would like to have discussed at this meeting into school.
You can do this via the reply slip on the agenda, by email or by sending a note into school in your child's reading folder.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Becky Jewitt
