Just in case you missed Saturday's report from the school, AudlemOnline would like to pay tribute to the team of Roving Reporters from Year 5 and 6 who have been working hard with two members of the webteam to create a school newspaper.
It was a new idea and all the content, reports on events, feature articles, a range of puzzles, design work and photographs, even samples of the recipe, has been the work of the pupils.
The adults contributed only with guidance, a few hints and printing by Joe Sheldon at Audlem Printers.
Becky Jewitt, head at St James' School, said: "Their hard work has certainly paid off and they have met their deadline (which was Friday!). I was delighted to be able to send home a copy of this special publication to all families with the weekly newsletter.
"I am sure you will agree that this is a great review of the year and gives a 'child's eye view' of life in school. Many thanks to Bob and John for giving so much of their time to this project and to Mrs Heathcock for liasing and helping to set the project up.
"The newspaper will also be published on AudlemOnline and our School Website and I am sure the Roving Reporters have learnt many new skills producing this. Well done to you all!"
The web team found the team extremely hard-working and enthusiastic. It's planned that another edition will be produced next year when, hopefully the three Year 5 pupils on this year's team will be able to pass on advice and their experience to that year's Roving Reporters.
The team are photographed as they saw the printed result for the first time and you can enjoy their work by clicking on the file below the photo.
