Regarding the recent article about food waste recycling – i think it's positive and one cannot beat any improvement and initiative. In our house, we don't really waste much food but every little bit helps!

Got me searching and thinking – what kind of food are we talking about? Are there any limits....

Anyway, I found an information brochure from the same company, that answers many questions on their website:

http://www.wastewise.co.uk/

And there's plenty more info on the same website...

From the brochure:

What can you put in the food collection bin?

You can put any raw or cooked food in your caddy. You can even scrape uneaten food straight into your caddy.

  • Meat and fish, raw and cooked including bones
  • All dairy products such as eggs and cheese
  • Raw and cooked vegetables and fruit
  • Bread, cakes and pastries
  • Rice, pasta and beans
  • Uneaten food from plates and dishes
  • Tea and coffee grounds
