The Audlem Carers' Support Group, run by ADCA, has an important meeting next Wednesday, 23rd May at the Lord Combermere between 9.30am and 11.30am to which all local carers are warmly invited to come along.
Dawn Brown, Development Lead, of the new Cheshire East Carers Hub is coming to meet everyone and find out about how our carers services operate in our rural area. She will also be providing information on how carers can register with the new Carers Hub and receive information, access to assessments and support. Attached is a leaflet which describes how to get in touch with the Hub and the services it offers (Click on the link below the photo).
Carers locally in Audlem have already benefitted from the support provides by ADCA in accessing the Carers' Living Well Fund which provided individual grants of either £250 or £500 to enable carers to have a break or buy equipment. All the publicity and help ADCA undertook via Lynn Morear, our Assistant Coordinator and Carers' Lead, led to 45 local carers receiving grants which totalled approaching £20,000 up to the end of March 2018.
This year's Living Well Fund will be allocated by the new Carers Hub and it is already working closely with ADCA to support carers in our rural area. We are hoping to attract continued funding locally to carry on supporting the over 70 carers we are now in touch with and also to continue to provide the much needed carers breaks.
So, please could all carers try to come along to meet Dawn and tell her about the work we do in Audlem and District.
