Calling all Carers

The good news is that ADCA's Bid for a grant of £9,100 to the Cheshire East Carers' Hub for money to continue our Carers Breaks Service as well as to help run our regular Carers' Coffee mornings over the coming year has been successful so far. Our application has been shortlisted to be considered at the final selection event.

But – we need your vote

The not so good news is that many other voluntary groups are bidding for a share of the money available and the decision as to who is given a grant is down to carers who attend the event voting for the best bids- following a five minutes presentation by each organisation. ADCA Carers Group is already contacting the eighty or so carers we support to consider attending the event.

However, any carer can attend as long as they register with the Carers' Hub

Cheshire East Carers' Hub

You will need to be registered to attend and vote at the event, and in any case ADCA encourages all carers to register with the Carers' Hub as they can provide valuable advice, support and access to the Living Well fund to help carers have a break themselves.

Register with the Hub

You can register with the Carers' Hub by ringing them on 0300 303 0208, or by using the form attached to this article (click on the link below the picture). You can download the form as a .doc file, fill in all the details required on the form and then return it as an e-mail attachment to the Carers' Hub.

If you don't have the necessary computer skills or equipment to do this, you could download and print the form and fill in the details as best you can and then get assistance from ADCA to complete the online process. Bring the form along to ADCA's Coffee Club at the Lord Combermere on Friday 21st September between 10am and 12noon where Lynn Morear, our Carers' Worker, can complete the registration process with you, and arrange lifts to the selection event if necessary.

Selection Event

It is very important for the future of ADCA's services to carers that as many carers as possible attend this event.
The selection event is on Wednesday 26th September, 2018 at The Chimney House Hotel, Congleton Road, Sandbach CW11 4ST, arrival at 4.30pm with a prompt start at 5pm. Refreshments are available.
