The State of our Roads

Please see attached file which is a response from Cheshire East to complaints from a local resident about the state of Green Lane (name and address was supplied).

The editors applaud the way these complaints have been made i.e. directly to the organisation responsible.

Clearly much better than just a moan or groan posted on Audlem online!

Green Lane runs for about a mile down the A529. The next 5 miles are all the responsibility of Shropshire County Council. That section of the road over recent years has been completely resurfaced and is a pleasure to drive on.

Similarly the Woore Road was completely resurfaced from the Cheshire boundary to Woore and is still in excellent condition.

The fundamental question to ask is how Shropshire can perform so much better than Cheshire? Especially on A roads!
