School News – Happy New Year

Happy New Year – Welcome Back!

I hope your Christmas was wonderful and 2018 has started well for you all.

We have had a busy first week back in school with all of the children returning to start new topics in their classes – I have been tremendously impressed with the energy and excitement in each class as the children have begun the term and I am looking forward to seeing how each topic develops over the coming weeks.

Class teachers have sent out a class information letter about the work your child will be covering this term and children in Years 1-6 have also brought home individual target sheets outlining the targets they are currently working towards; I hope you find these useful.

New Team Captains & Monitors

We begin our new term with four new Team Captains. Immogen McCool (Lime), James Peake (Oak), Cooper Bonell (Rowan) and Ben Jones (Alder) are our new Year 6 Captains. I am sure they will do a terrific job leading their teams and that all of the children will be trying hard to earn points for their teams this term.

We also have two newly appointed Tidy Team Monitors in Year 6, Kelsie Harthern and Immogen McCool, who will be carrying out 'spot checks' throughout the week and meet to discuss their findings with me so the winning class for the Tidy Team award can be decided on each week.
