The agenda for Cheshire East's Strategic Planning Board next Wednesday, 19th October, starting at 10.30am has been published.

Meeting will be held at Council Chamber, Municipal Buildings, Earle Street, Crewe CW1 2BJ.

A major Audlem item is included in the agenda:

16/1131N – Erection of 120 dwellings and all associ*, land to the west of Audlem Road, Audlem, Cheshire, CH3 OHE: Appearance, Landscaping, Layout and scale of outline permission for up to 120 dwellings (APPEAL REF – APP/R0660/A/13/2204723) for Anwyl Construction Co Ltd.

We think this is the first time that a building company's name has been mentioned with this development which is, of course, the Little Heath development that was granted outline planning permission in January 2015. What are described as Reserved Matters are now to be considered.

Even though Audlem's well publicised application to become part of Wales was a spoof in 2008, it now appears that Wales may be coming to Audlem as the house designs named in the application are: Monmouth; Carmarthen; Clwyd; Portmadog; Ewloe; Bala; Meliden; Glyn; Brecon; Beaumaris; Llandrillo and Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. OK, our apologies, but we couldn't resist adding the last one!

It had been expected at last Monday's Audlem Parish Council, as reported on AudlemOnline, that the planning application to build 87 dwellings behind Moorsfield Avenue and Tollgate may also be heard on 19th October. As yet, we have no further news on that application.
