Christmas Comes early to Audlem

Santa was clearly so worried at the lack of mail coming out of Audlem last Christmas that, as Megan Sheer has announced, he has brought a special early gift this year .... a brand new Post Office!

Audlem Parish Councillors were delighted to hear that a full service Post Office will be opening within our favourite chocolate shop, Lllovely, on 4th December. The timing is perfect as it is just in time for the Christmas postal rush.

Since the original Post Office closed in April 2016, residents of Audlem and neighbouring villages have experienced significant difficulties in getting to a Post Office for mail, banking and other services. The constant lobbying of Post Office Ltd by the Parish Council, aided by our MP and Ward Councillor, has at last had the desired result.

The opening of a Post Office in Lllovely is a testament to the effort put in by Megan Sheer who had to navigate her way through a very complex application system. Special thanks must go to two Managers from Post Office Ltd – Denise Nutbrown and Richard Hall – who have done so much behind the scenes to help Megan. Congratulations to you all on a very successful outcome.

Councillors are confident that everyone will give Lllovely's new Post Office their full support to help ensure this important community service remains in Audlem.
