Great Fire, Dragon's Den, Motorbike Champion!

School Newsletter 25th January 2019 Teamwork Skills on Display!

On Wednesday, children from Pearl class, dressed in appropriate costume, excelled themselves, presenting confident and entertaining class assembly to their parents and carers on the Great Fire of London. News reporters interviewed Samuel Pepys and the Bishop of London, eyewitness accounts were given and the children shared everything they had learnt about this historical event.

Well done to James Brennan, Jonny Fellows, Isabella New, Archie Saunders and Eesha Thornton-Jones in Year 4 who are representing our school at the grand final of Dragon's Den at Brine Leas this morning. Their team, Positive Christmas Steps, will be tasked with making a brand new project made from recycled materials as well as preparing a presentation to local Dragons! I am sure they will do a great job!

Congratulations to Ollie Binns in Amber class who has been awarded the 2018 British National Grass track Motorbike Champion. Ollie competed last term to be crowned National Champion and visited his class with his bike and his parents on Monday to present school with a cheque for £100 from Bikesport UK in recognition of his wonderful achievement. Well done, Ollie!
