Last Friday, 28th November, Audlem Carers' Support Group held a successful stall under the Buttermarket in support of the national Carers' Rights Day.

We gave out information packs from CarersUK on Carers' Rights to over 20 people For more information on carers rights and benefits click here or ring their Advice Line – 0808 808 777.

We also were able to give advice to a number of carers about the range services available from Cheshire Carers' Centre (see the pdf file using the link below the photo) and distributed information about the activities of Audlem Carers' Support Group including our programme of meetings and breaks, to which all carers are cordially invited.

They are held between 10am and 12noon on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday in the month at the Lord Combermere:

  • 9th December – A Christmas Surprise for Carers
  • 13th January – Coffee and Chat + Cheshire East Carers' Strategy discussion
  • 27th January – Craft demonstration by Valerie Mackin
  • 10th February – Coffee and Chat
  • 19th February – Afternoon tea at Crewe Hall with tour
  • 24th February – Carers' Trust for All Speaker
  • 10th March – Coffee and Chat
  • 24th March – Visit to a Royal garden party by Margaret Lockwood

We particularly would like all existing and new carers to come along to our Support Group meeting next Tuesday, 9th December for a 'Christmas Surprise' including mince pies and coffee from our very own barrista!
