Super Science – Splendid Work!
As part of National Science Week, we have held a special Science Week in school this week. The children have been involved in many exciting activities including testing how springy does a spring in a Jack in a box have to be and researching animal and insect species in the Amazon rain forest.
On Thursday, during an exciting visit by Science Boffin, Sarah, the children were wowed during an amazing assembly. They saw a genie appear from a bottle, watched Sarah carefully as she made toothpaste for an elephant, and waited expectantly to see if Mrs Hayward was going to have a cup of water poured over her head! The day also included workshops with each class – the buzz around school was fantastic! Many thanks to FASA for subsidising this event ensuring parental donations were much reduced in cost.
Antoinete Sandbach visit
We welcomed Antoinette Sandbach to school yesterday as Sky News filmed clips to form a
report on the proposed funding cuts in education. She would welcome feedback from any
