We were preparing to celebrate VE day at School but unfortunately due to circumstances this isn't possible. So knowing the Audlem community spirit I thought why can't we dress the village in red, white and blue and still be part of the nationwide plan that has been drawn up to mark the anniversary of Victory in Europe day at the end of World War Two.
We can be part of a 'stay at home street party' on May 8 and celebrate the date with a socially distanced party! We can decorate our homes in red, white and blue and enjoy a picnic in the front garden.
The idea is that Audlem will come out to drape their homes in flags and bunting and then enjoy the festivities while observing Government guidelines on social distancing (staying at 2m apart from others and not gathering in groups).

Take care and stay safe.
