#Switched On and Ready!

Our Key Stage 2 children are ready to get Christmas started in style by singing near the Buttermarket at the Big Switch On event this evening. Thanks to the Key Stage 2 staff team and children for all their hard work learning their words and songs ahead of tonight's performance – a special thanks to Mr Blenkiron who has been teaching the children some special songs for this evening and will be accompanying the singing with his guitar. I am sure the children will do a fabulous job!

Diamond class treated us to a wonderful class assembly on Tuesday. It was based on their topic, World War 2, and they shared some wonderful drama and descriptive writing which showed just how much they have learned about this topic so far. They also shared some special film trailers they have created which
really showcased their creative flair! Thanks to Mrs Bird and the children for sharing such an interesting and enjoyable assembly.

We held a 'live' Phonics session for parents and carers' in Amethyst class on Tuesday morning, to share more information about our approach to teaching this important skill in school. It was great to see the children sharing their phonics skills so confidently. Thank you to all of the parents and carers who joined us for this special learning session.
