Rebecca's newsletter was written on Friday and many of our readers will have seen and heard the performance which resulted from all the preparation described here. What a wonderful performance it was – beautiful singing and such happy children. Thank you from all that attended on the night

Our Key Stage 2 children are ready to get Christmas started in style by singing on St James' Church steps at the Big Switch On event this evening. Thanks to the Key Stage 2 staff team and children for all their hard work learning their words and songs ahead of tonight's performance – a special thanks to Mr Blenkiron who has been teaching the children some special songs for this evening and will be accompanying the singing with his guitar playing. I am sure the children will do a fabulous job and I look forward to seeing many of you there!

Bella Roberts' Mum, Vet Lucy and dog Leo visited EYFS on Monday. The children dressed up as vets and listened to Leo's heartbeat using a stethoscope.

Our Bishop, Bishop Libby, visited our school on Wednesday and shared a special worship with us all focused on being a good friend linking to her special robe, mitre, staff, ring and crucifix. Our Head and Vice Head Girls and Boys did a wonderful job of touring Bishop Libby around our school and our Wonderful Worship Leads thoroughly enjoyed sharing all of their work with her during her visit.

On Wednesday children across school enjoyed an exciting assembly lead by 'Cosmic Kes' from Mad Science. The Mad Science After School offer provides children with a chance to see just how cool Science can be and the children certainly enjoyed this taster session! We are looking to offering a Mad Science After-School Club in the Spring term if there is enough interest from children and parents. Information letters about the clubs and costs have been sent out in school bags this week – please look out for them.

If you are interested in your child attending such a club next term please respond by Friday 1st December so we can ascertain if there is enough interest for this to run in school.
