We are now in our second week of Lockdown 2. These are uncertain times and all I can say is that the school will continue to look after the well-being of the children at school. I feel the key to our success last time was that we all worked together and the whole community pulled together.

We will ensure that school will carry on as normal as much as possible. We do however need your support in this by ensuring that you keep on reading the guidance relating to COVID 19 and that we are socially distant at drop offs and pick-ups. We should endeavour to be at least 2m distant when we collect our children. This small part will help us keep the school open over the next few months.

Remembrance on 11/11/20

Following on from the decoration of trees in the school grounds last week with red
remembrance ribbons (pictured) the school marked the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of
the eleventh month with the playing of the Last Post and a two-minute silence.

Children in Need Week and Friday Donation

The children have come in today looking splendid wearing their own clothes with plenty of Pudsey Bears in evidence in exchange for a 'gold' coin donation to support the Children in Need appeal. This year, Children in Need will be promoting children's physical and mental health using the 'Five Steps to Wellbeing'.

These are:
1. Connect – talk and listen, be there, feel connected
2. Take notice – remember the simple things that give you joy
3. Be active – do what you can, enjoy what you do, and move your mood
4. Keep learning – embrace new experiences, see opportunities, surprise yourself
5. Give – your time, your words, your presence

In addition to the daily activities this week, there has been a daily fine-minute workout with Joe Wicks who is the new ambassador for the charity. The children's 'Resilience Passports' have been relaunched and they will be bringing them home today to continue them as an extra homework challenge. The activities they have completed in school can be used to help our children to refocus, self-regulate and enjoy new challenges.
