A Pub, A Church and the O2 Academy – all in the last three days, all very different.
Harmonies that would do justice to the Puppini Sisters or the Andrews Sisters (for those old enough, and them that appreciate vocal harmonies, you'll know what I mean), with a mix of covers from the decades:
'You ain't nothing but a hound dog', to 'Sitting on the dock of the bay', 'Rushour' to 'One day like this', 'Teenage Kicks' with a bit of 'Sex on fire' and one or two self penned framed in to the set. It was nothing short of a great evening, with well crafted vocals and guitar playing.
Singer-songwriters Sally Mason and Becky Taylor, down from Manchester, also enjoyed their first visit to the Lord C they had heard so much about, and their faces said it all when they were accompanied by the sax of Alisdair MacKenzie (wouldn't be a Thursday without his cameo appearances) with spontaneous offers of future gigs.
Without doubt those that enjoyed the gig will be looking out for Taylor and the Masons next gig at the Audlem Musical Festival in June, for those that couldn't make it, come along then and hear what you missed.
You could not ignore the wonderful acting, and clever production that created a memorable performance. Musically, the talented Newmans, Naomi and Toby produced and orchestrated their self-penned tunes and lyrics with a choral performance of note. Their voices really creating a West End style musical right here in Audlem.

Front man Ritchie really knows how to fetch the band's songs to life with an audience, from 'Ruby Ruby Ruby', 'Everyday I love you less and Less', 'Na Na Na Na Naa' to 'I predict a riot' rocked the O2, mixed in with a couple of new numbers.
One mention for Stoke band All the Young who were the main support – watch out for them, energetic, tight and a big sound really set the stage for the Kaisers.
Now I really expect to see that place packed for this one, come on folks it's on your doorstep!
