Audlem Care Home Appoints Experienced Care Professional as Home Manager

Corbrook Park, a 78-bed nursing home in Audlem, is delighted to announce the appointment of Anita Horton as its new home manager. Anita brings 20 years of care home management experience and a proven track record of delivering outstanding care.

Anita's career in care began after she left retail, seeking work that would provide her with a greater sense of purpose. She started as a care assistant at a care home in Birmingham, where she remained for 15 years, working her way up through the ranks to senior care assistant, assistant manager, and eventually home manager for five years.

Anita s next role saw her become a turnaround manager for a leading care home operator, where she successfully stabilised and improved the care provided by six different homes. Most recently, Anita spent five years as care home manager of a home in Walsall, before taking up her new position at Corbrook Park.

Now managing a team of 70 at Corbrook Park, Anita has bold ambitions for the home. She is keen to strengthen ties with the local community, including inviting in the Alzheimer's Society and local primary schools. She is also planning to create a forum for other care home managers in the area, develop a more varied daily activities schedule, and establish a weekly coffee morning for residents and their families. Anita is also determined to achieve an 'Outstanding' rating for the home's dementia care provision.

Corbrook Park provides dementia, nursing, respite, disability, day and palliative care for up to 80 residents. Set in stunning grounds with views over the surrounding Cheshire countryside, the home is warm and friendly, offering excellent, personalised care to all its residents.
