It appears that the darker evenings have prompted a resurgence of the stones and lumps of mud throwing that was a serious problem at one time last year.

On Monday evening (October 14th) we were travelling from Audlem towards Nantwich. At about 7.35 pm, we were just passing the Scout Hall on our right with the turn towards Moss Hall on our left.
Out of the darkness came two missiles aimed directly at our car.
One struck the passenger window the other hit the rear near side door of the car.
I stopped to investigate – no one about. I then turned the car around (towards Daisybank) and returned to the public car park to inspect the car in the flood lit area.
Whilst I was returning three youths had appeared, looking, but on me returning their gaze they looked away............!!
The loose description is, one was about 15 – 16-ish dark haired tallish – his two friends were 11-ish around shorter and younger looking.
But as above they looked a bit guilty – we did not approach them.
We have reported the incident to the Police – we do have a log number and the Police thought it a good idea to get it on AudlemOnline.
After all someone must own the said children.
