"30 years touring," Pete 'Duffey' Marshall casually commented one evening, back in 2012, "will be a milestone for us (Pete and Janey Marshall) with Day-Star Theatre".

So to mark the occasion, and you will all find this hard to believe, Day-Star Theatre performed a Matter of Time on home soil, here in Audlem, for the first time in ages!

The response was fantastic, so if you missed it last time a repeat performance is on the cards, this will be reminiscent of Day-Star Theatres regular appearances along the canal which ended some time back in 2005. For the packed house that watched the last performance here in Audlem, your wishes for a repeat performance has been granted!

Daystar Theatre will perform their production 'A matter of time'- where the mundane and the ordinary meet the weird and the eccentric. A village plan, the gutter press, modern art and...abduction!

It's time that the small village of Long Ducking had a plan, a village plan, a plan for tourism, leisure, sport, healthcare and education. A plan for the future!

At least that's what village stalwarts Timothy & Cynthia think. No one else seems all that bothered. Even local eccentric Bernard missed the first meeting and he always shows up if there's free tea and biscuits.

Bringing Long Ducking into the twenty first century is going to be an up hill struggle. The village shop scrapes by, the pub is on its last legs and the one and only land mark, the clock on the village green, stopped working in August 1964 which just happens to be the date that Bernard was first abducted by aliens.

Will Timothy and Cynthia find help with the arrival of an award winning conceptual artist from London who has moved into the Old Creamery? All will be revealed at the renowned Scout & Guide Hall Theatre Cafe venue located in Cheshire Street Audlem, on Saturday 12th October. In true Cafe Theatre style, you can fetch your own drinks and nibbles.

Tickets for this performance are only £8.50, are available from Hoc's Fat Pigeon in Cheshire Street, Audlem. To reserve, please call 01270 812424, or email hoc@hocsfatpigeon.co.uk

The performance starts promptly at 8.00pm with doors opening at 7.30pm.
