The project to bring Superfast Broadband (SFBB) to Audlem is approaching a critical point over the next three weeks.
A working group led by Phil Johnson has been set up by Audlem Parish Council to try to ensure that the service arrives in Audlem as soon as possible. This group (Phil Johnson, Heather Jones, Geoff Seddon, Geoff Smethurst, David Higham and John Tilling) are now pleading with all residents to register an interest in SFBB as soon as they can if they haven't done so already.
In order to have a reasonable chance of qualifying for the necessary grants to guarantee the inclusion of Audlem in the roll out of SFBB in Cheshire, it is important that more than 50% of households in the village register an interest in SFBB when it becomes available.
This is no way commits anyone to actually sign up and use the service when it arrives.
We are told that residents will face no additional costs for the installation of SFBB, and will be able to choose their own provider for either regular or SFBB.
We urge all residents to visit AudlemOnline and use the link to Connecting Cheshire ASAP to ensure we hit the magic 50%.
