Short-ARS on Saturday

The short-ARS walk on Saturday, April 27th will be led by Howard Jones and is a circuit around Erbistock. This is his description of the walk:

This circular very pretty walk of about 5 miles starts from the car park at the Boat Inn at Erbistock and follows a path along the river Dee for about a mile, passing a weir, before climbing away through woods and farmland.

There are a couple of moderate inclines but nothing of consequence and the going is pretty good underfoot.

Dog walkers should be aware that the route takes us through several fields with sheep and lambs.

The Inn is reached by taking a sharp left turn immediately past Overton Bridge (A528) and by the side of the Cross Foxes Pub. I have cleared the parking with the landlord but it is assumed that some of us will partake of some libation at the end of the walk.

If we leave Audlem main car park at 9.30 we should be walking by 10.30.
