Update on establishment of Shadow Governing Body


The Local Authority is proceeding with arrangements to appoint a Shadow Governing Body with effect from 1 July 2012; the intention being to dissolve the Interim Executive Board on 31 December 2012.


The Shadow Governing Body (SGB) will comprise of 10 members:-


3 Parent Governors


2 Staff Governors 


2 Community Governors


1 Local Authority Governor


2 Foundation Governors


All governor appointments will be made by the Local Authority.  The LA School Governance Team is undertaking the arrangements for the appointment of members of the SGB. Anyone interested in applying will need to complete the application form which is available online by clicking on the link below the photograph.


#Timetable
The time table for the arrangements is:


Application forms available – 18 May 2012


Closing date for receipt of application forms – 6 June 2012


LA consider applications – 13 June 2012


Suggested date for interviews – 20 June from 3.00 p.m. at the school


There will be an initial meeting of the appointed members in July and a bespoke training session in early September. 


The SGB will elect its own Chair and Vice Chair.
