From this week's School Newsletter:

Each class has begun their new topic work and school is buzzing with new ideas and exciting learning! From the Beatles to Mexico there is a wide range of interesting and engaging work taking place!

Ruby Class had a special visit to launch their new topic based on the book Sky High on Tuesday. Some of the children have written about their experience:

"On Tuesday, Lucy from the Cheshire Falconry Centre came to Ruby class with 5 magnificent birds of prey. The experience was amazing because every single bird flew over our heads! We all got to stroke Bolt, the Burrowing Owl and we are the first school to see him do his new trick of running down a tube burrow right in front of us!
"This was an experience of a lifetime as we got to see five birds of prey flying and had an expert explaining all about them."
By Cecile Parkes and Harlie Jewell

"'I really enjoyed the experience of seeing 5 birds of prey and each one of those birds touching my head with the edge of their wings!."
Helen Marshall

"I loved Spirit and Yorkie. It was the most interesting thing I have ever seen."
Lily Serif

"One of the best sights I have ever seen! With those birds of prey flying over me I thought I might faint because I was so excited!"
George Spain
