New cash machine at Co-op

Audlem shoppers look like getting a new cash machine at the Co-op later this year or early next.

The Co-operative wants planning consent to relocate the existing ATM and install a new unit at its Shropshire Street store.

AudlemOnline noted a repositioned cash unit in drawings accompanying a recent application for a new hanging sign and lighting units.

The latest application confirms the Co-op plans to move the cash unit from the right side of the main entrance to the left and installing a new window.

Plans also include the installation of a new condenser unit on the wall overlooking the fire station yard.

A new cash machine is likely to be welcomed as the old one has clearly seen some serious use over the years and is looking somewhat worse for wear.
