Cars on football pitch

As far as I know, we are the only village club that pays to use the playing field as the football pitch, stumping up close to £400 each year for the privilege.

Not only that, but we have to compete with the owners of dogs who care not a jot for this and allow their pets to dump a load as and when the urge comes on them. It is horrid to be in a sliding tackle to face not just the studs of an opponent, but also dog poo up one's legs. And believe me it is no skin conditioner!

As per the attached photos so clearly demonstrate, we now have vehicles being parked on the grass as the pitch marker tries to mark out the lines!

Perhaps we could sublet bits of the field and so recoup some of the money we – and we alone – pay out to have the facility that should, by rights, be a village green and as such be free to all of us.
