Nigel Young on Weight Restrictions on A530

27th September 2025 @ 8:13am

I believe this will have a significant impact on the amount of heavy goods traffic through Audlem. Can CEC please consider suspending the parking charges on Cheshire Street Car Park during the time this weight restriction is in place. Maybe Audlem Parish Council could consider requesting this too. This would then hopefully reduce the number of cars being parked, mostly quite legally I must add, from Broadways to Boots.

George McLaren-Brown on AudlemSpeedWatch

24th September 2025 @ 1:38pm

We're excited to share some fantastic news about Audlem SpeedWatch! Thanks to the incredible support from Audlemonline, we’ve welcomed three enthusiastic new volunteers to our team! Since joining our ranks, these dedicated individuals have already helped us identify 31 vehicles entering or leaving our village at speeds above the 30 mph limit. Their generous commitment of just one hour each week is a wonderful step towards making Audlem a safer place for everyone.

Consider the positive impact we could create with even more volunteers! Together, we can address those areas where residents have noticed vehicles speeding through our beautiful village. It's truly impressive that we haven’t had any serious incidents yet, but let’s keep up the momentum—safety is a shared responsibility!

If you can spare just one hour a week, we would be thrilled to have you on board! Feel free to reach out to me at gmacbrown@hotmail.com or call me at 07377623993 if you require more information.

Many thanks
George

Tim Coney on Good Plumber

21st September 2025 @ 9:29pm

I just wanted to share the recent experience we have had with Jim and Jake, to local plumbers. They did an excellent job in bringing an old central heating system back to life. They came in under quote / time and the work was of a very high quality. Property was left tidy at the end of each day, and they turned up on time every day, starting on the actual date agreed. If you need a good plumber, especially if you have an issue which need thinking about carefully, I'd recommend calling them. Jim 07890365301. Thanks.

Nigel Mottershead on Dog bag abandoned on Monks Lane!

19th September 2025 @ 8:44am

This morning at 07:00 a couple were walking two brown dogs towards the village and stoped outside my gate. The man said to the woman ‘just leave it there’!
So she left a neatly wrapped up full bag on the road by the gate.
Why?
There is a bin 100 yards along the lane which was the direction they were walking.
If they would like to contact me then that would be welcome but they wouldn’t have the backbone.
Screen shots are available.
Slovenly and bone idle springs to mind.

Deborah Nettleton on Driving instructor recommendations

18th September 2025 @ 6:30pm

Are there any reliable driving instructors who cover the Audlem/Nantwich area? I'm trying to get my son on a waiting list so that he can begin his lessons as soon as he turns 17 after Christmas. I've rung half a dozen with zero response. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions.

Christine Hughes on HOME CARE & COMPANIONSHIP AVAILABLE

15th September 2025 @ 11:23am

Are you or know of a family member/friend in need of some home help and companionship within the local area? It could be shopping, attending appointments, visiting local places, light domestic duties, preparation of meals and very importantly time for a chat and cuppa.
I'm currently a companion/home help for a local lady. Due to a change in circumstance's my hours will be reduced from the beginning of October. I am an honest, cheerful and compasionate lady with lots of life experiences to share. I can provide character and employee references.
I look forward to hearing from you to discuss in further detail.
