Good morning – does anyone have a contact for a local *reliable* TV and aerial engineer? Looking for my mum .... thanks :)
There are a number listed in AOL Directory Businesses/Transport
Can anyone recommend a taxi firm who would go to Manchester Airport?
Is Mark goldsmith taking the wizz, 550 potholes he's having a laugh. I suppose his definition of a pothole is different to the majority of tax paying people who use our deteriorating road infrastructure. For goodness sake can this joke of a council take some responsibility for a change.
I noticed with rolled eyes Cheshire East's press release featured on Audlem Online today, in which the council attempt to refute the fact that they are the WORST council in the country for potholes. Particularly ironic was the part where they referred to: "We are using our limited budgets in the best possible way." Our roads are visibly terrible, they are disintegrating from lack of care and there are visibly potholes eveywhere. Do they think we're all blind? Cheshire East's 'limited' total budget for 2024-2025 was £287m...limited?! Perhaps not building a white elephant multi storey car park in Crewe, which is operating at a loss due to under use does not represent using budgets in the 'best way'. How many potholes could have been fixed with that. How can they be made to be accountable...? Furthermore, giving them greater power & tax raising power as part of a regional Cheshire devolved authority does not seem to be a sensible thing to do...
I have read, with interest ,Mark Goldsmith comments about pot holes. I don't know where and on what roads he drives on but I suspect the article is spot on.
Kind person to sit with bed/chair bound elderly gentleman saturday mornings 9 til 12. Just company and make drink and snack
Please note.
APC web site clearly states that the deadline is the 6th March.
Cheshire East have given APC an extension until the 24th March. Any residents have to submit before 6th.
Does anyone know someone who would be able to fit two cat flaps?
If so please ring Dave on 07753141273. Thank you.
I agree with John W
But.....train of thought, why not get Elon Musk in to check PC "missing" Finances ?
Just wanted to say. I agree we need the Ukrainian flags back up in the village. Show our support for a peaceful country that has been wrecked by a dictator. Ring any bells. Also as a retired service man I have noticed that there are a few Union Jacks that are flying upside down in the village.
I agree with Roland, let's show some support.
I'd support displaying our Ukrainian flags if only to give people under Russian attack some small degree of hope.
Rather Ukrainian flags on Cheshire street than Russian ones. Putin has no respect for borders, Novichok in Salisbury, Pulonium in London hotel. We must stand with Ukraine
If you are having problems like us submitting you're comments via the Cheshire East planning web site, we have been advised that you can send an e mail to planning@cheshireeast.gov.uk with your comments , be sure to head it with the planning number 25/0449/EIA

They assured us that we would get a response but it may be after the Thursday 6th deadline
What a great idea Brian, regarding showing the village's continued support for Ukraine. I am sure that some people would not support this but having already acquired and flown the flags three years ago, in these very trying times, it is time to get them out again. If the existing flags are looking a little tired and we need to renew some of them I, and I'm sure many others, would chip in to replace them. There's not a lot we can do individually but the least we can do is chip in for flags to show our support.
I don't think our village should consider bedecking itself in flags or pennants of other nations in times of conflict. Only the Union Flag or The Cross of St.George are acceptable.
The village high street is not the place for international politics.
Hello Mary,
My teenage son would be able to help you with cutting your lawn if that would be of interest to you.
Feel free to contact me on 812696.
Does anyone have a laptop with a CD drive I could pop in and borrow for five minutes? I have a CD I need to download a copy of my medical x-ray off and would be so grateful. Thank you :)
Many thanks for your very welcome and positive update, Peter. There is no doubt that Ralph was a tremendous asset to the village over many years. So many good things got done through his individual as well as collaborative efforts. We certainly miss encountering him so frequently like we used to, but he will always provide an inspiring model of the difference one individual with drive and enthusiasm can make.
Can I respectfully request that the Ukrainian Flags are once again are flown around the village. It's three years since the village first raised these flags in support of a sovereign nation that had been invaded. A small token admittedly but the least we can do to show solidarity.
Thank you to those who have replied to my request – this has now been sorted
Hello. As with the box deliveries, the same person I know could help with your lawn. If you've not got fixed up, please contact me and I'll pass on the details.
Hi not sure but is there someone local that can come and do the first cut of my lawn it's not a big job but I'm unable to do it due to osteoarthritis looking for quotes 🙂 😊
I meant to reply to this but it slipped my mind. I know someone who can help if you've not got fixed up.
