I write regarding the cemetery in Audlem – widely acknowledged as one of the loveliest in the county, if indeed perhaps the loveliest.

Last night it was home to a bunch of young yobs and I am so sorry to report this, they left a debris of broken glass in the entrance behind the gates; Vodka bottles in the porch by the chapels; exploded coke cans.

We recently had the case of a new bouquet of blooms taken from the chapel.

So sad to see this and I do believe that I can identify the guilty ones. I will seek some candidates out and tackle them to try to get the truth, but I felt the village should be made aware of this idiocy. Especially as a gang hut was provided a goodly time ago for the use of the youths.
