White Ribbon campaign against violence

NHS South Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group, which Audlem Medical Practice belongs to, is encouraging people to support White Ribbon Day, in an effort to support an International Day of Action against Violence Against Women and Girls.

The event, held every year on November 25th since 1991, is a worldwide campaign – set up by men to show that violence towards women will not be tolerated.

By wearing a white ribbon, you are making a promise to not commit, condone or stay silent about violence against women.

While NHS South Cheshire CCG recognises that violence is also experienced by men, today, Monday signals a day where people are encouraged to make a pledge against violence of any kind.

White Ribbon Day is our opportunity to encourage people in South Cheshire to make a stand against violence – not just towards women, but towards anyone.

"As a CCG we support White Ribbon Day and hope that we can demonstrate our commitment to reduce the cost and suffering that domestic abuse can bring to women, men and children," said a spokesperson from NHS South Cheshire CCG.
