What a Wonderful Wedding

There has been a lot of publicity and news about the Public Hall Annexe for the last few weeks, as the Grand Opening Ceremony on November 18th approaches.

But we should not forget that the existing (let's not call it "old") Hall will go on providing many groups and organisations with a superb venue, Annexe or no Annexe.

A recent fine example was a wedding reception, where the happy couple chose a 1940's theme for the decoration of the Hall. It is not quite clear why they made their choice – perhaps on the theory that the whole marriage thing is a war anyway, so why not start as you mean to go on!

Whatever the reason the pictures show the main Hall superbly decked out for the event.

By all reports it was a very successful occasion and Geoff and Olive received a big "thank you" for all their efforts.

We hope and expect that the Hall will continue to provide the central venue for such events, with the added benefit that the facilities in the Annexe can be called on as necessary to enhance the occasion.
