Friday May 5th

T.A.V.A. are delighted to report that the fabulous LUKE WRIGHT will be returning to Audlem and the (now World Renowned) Scout & Guide Hall this Friday 5th May.

Doors open at 7pm and we would like to invite you to bring your own snacks and refreshments (although we will have some back up wine & nibbles available for sale)

In case you missed him last time...Luke Wright is a uniquely undefinable poet: strikingly flamboyant, with ponytail and eyeliner, he seems to mask a warm, cuddly personality beneath an energizing flare of boldness and brashness. His work is alternately playful and passionate, but he is at his best when he skilfully draws pathos and profundity from the seemingly mundane

The Show

... A story of shattered friendship, class ceilings, and the hollow reality of the New Labour dream. At university the whip-smart, mercurial Johnny Bevan saves Nick, smashing his comfortable, middle class bubble and firing him up about politics, music and literature. Twenty years later, as their youthful dreams disintegrate with the social justice they hoped for, can Nick save Johnny from himself? Luke Wright delivers a multi award winning hurricane of a performance. With humour and humanity, he takes British politics head on, challenging the rise of New Labour and David Cameron, and the abandonment of those left behind.

Please don't miss out on what we expect to be a SOLD OUT evening of thought provoking entertainment for ages 16+

Tickets cost: £10 standard price, £8 for concessions. Available to order from Tava325@gmail.com or call Janet on 01270811250
