The Chillinight went a stage further on Saturday night, literally a stage was put in to the World Famous Scout & Guide Hall along with full backdrops.

The PA and lighting followed, provided by Hollow Floor Studios, along with a recording desk. ThenMedia provided the HD video recording.

So, technically, the stage was set and ready for the audience queuing outside, and in they came. A full house, the first Chillinight of the year was a sell out, the Winter Chilli was on. The venue came a live.

The gig begins with Macy G – Macy Gultekin and Alg Halliwell. Macy really came to prominence with her solo performance on the Amazing Grace DVD filmed and performed locally in Audlem.

Here she was making her debut live performance at a Chillinight alongside a veteran of live performances in Alg Halliwell. A warming cameo of a performance that was delivered without any hint of nerves, at least from Macy.

Travelling back from London to perform, local Ronan Haughey stepped on to the stage performing his own material and one cover, a cover of his old man's 'In my Mind'. Ronan's solo presence has matured and was warmly received by the audience.

Following the chilli break Last of the a Dogs stepped up to the stage and delivered a powerful set of their own material. With this line up, Andy (Yard Dog) Smith, Phil (Roadkill) McMullin, Tony (Diesel Dog) Gallimore the band has really come together, Let the rock commence. A tight band with presence, had the feet tapping and the bodies swaying.

You need to catch these at Audlem Festival. They have recently released a single, 'Sally dream with me', off their forthcoming album, incidentally recorded at Hollow Floor Studios by Jack Marshall. The Album launch is on the 28th of March, check out details on their website.

Introduce a master of Dark Folk, with a little smattering of Alisdair Grant McKenzie accompanying, and the talented Dave Nettleton took over the stage. Ever strong, ever powerful, conjuring lyrics and distinctive guitar playing create a deep and dark atmosphere of dark folk adding yet another dimension to the evening's entertainment.

As we weave our way to the final act of the evening the lights came down and the Eyres lit up. This hard working alternative rock band's performance is so tight the breaks in songs are deafening. An all round full on performance, this band love to play, all original with well nurtured influences, check them out on Facebook and www.theeyres.co.uk for their next gigs – you won't have long to wait.

From those that put the Chillinights on, thank you to the artists and the audience for making these nights the best. It was good.
