On Sunday 19th April, Combermere Abbey, the region's most romantic, historic property will be hosting a complimentary Wedding Open Day. The event held from 11.00am until 4.00pm, will introduce prospective bridal couples to this exclusive venue.
At the event, Brides and grooms-to-be will also have an insight to some exciting developments which will be available from January 2016, adding even more allure and enchantment to this unique venue.
Learn more of a stunning new four-poster bridal suite with its own drawing and dining rooms in the Abbey's Gothic North Wing and the option of hosting a winter wedding in the Abbey's fine C12th reception room, The Library, an ornately decorated space like no other, which has been recently restored to its former glory. Artist's impressions and details of these exciting developments will be available to see.
Explore the Abbey's expansive and beautifully restored Victorian walled gardens bedecked with blossom; discover 'The Glasshouse' in the heart of the unique fruit tree maze, where couples can marry, choosing from both indoor and outdoor options and 'The Walled Garden Pavilion' with its dazzling starlit ceiling – the perfect space for the wedding party. Dressed in her wedding finery, the venue will enchant and inspire.

Priding itself on the exceptional service enjoyed by each wedding couple, this venue is a photographer's heaven and couples can enjoy a stroll through the beautiful gardens and down to the lake side – with its unique views.
Select suppliers will be also on hand to discuss the fine details and professional service that they can contribute to your special day.
During the event, you may also sample seasonal canapés from the Abbey's nominated caterers, Olive Tree and Pickled Walnut, and enjoy a fruit cocktail, courtesy of nominated bar provider Gorilla Events, which will include fruits from the Abbey's own orchards and maze.
Particularly attractive is the collection of nine cottages, a stone's throw from the venue and sleeping up to 49 guests, luxury award-winning accommodation has been provided within the Abbey's historic stable yard.
The stunning and rare 1927 'Crossley' classic car will be on display, manufactured by the current owner's great-grandfather, Sir Kenneth Crossley. This beautiful navy blue motor car has recently been acquired and is part of the Combermere wedding offer, for couples who marry at the venue to use within the estate.
Combermere Abbey is a privately owned historic estate and is located 5 miles west of Audlem in Shropshire on the A530. Kindly note satnav is unreliable in this area. Car parking is complimentary and plentiful.
