On Sunday 19th April, Combermere Abbey, the region's most romantic country estate will be hosting a complimentary Wedding Open Day.

The event held from 11.00am until 4.00pm, will introduce prospective bridal couples to Cheshire's most enchanting and exclusive venue.

The event will also mark the Abbey's 20th anniversary as a wedding venue. In April 1995 Sarah Callander Beckett, owner, secured the first ever civil wedding ceremony license in Cheshire, and the second in England for Combermere Abbey.

At the Wedding Open Day brides and grooms-to-be will also have an insight to some exciting new developments. Learn of a stunning new four-poster bridal suite with its own reception rooms in the Abbey's Gothic North Wing and the option of hosting winter wedding ceremonies in the Abbey's fine C12th reception room, 'The Library', an ornate and highly decorative space like no other, which has been recently restored to its former glory.

Explore the Abbey's expansive and beautifully restored Victorian walled gardens bedecked with blossom; discover 'The Glasshouse' in the heart of the unique fruit tree maze, where couples can marry, choosing from both indoor and outdoor options and 'The Walled Garden Pavilion' with its dazzling starlit ceiling – the perfect space for the wedding party. Dressed in her wedding finery, the venue will enchant and inspire.

The talented and professional weddings team headed by Event Sales Manager, Sarah Hulse, will ensure you get a true Combermere welcome; a personal show round and all your questions
answered.

Priding itself on the exceptional service enjoyed by each wedding couple, this venue is a photographer's heaven and couples can enjoy a stroll through the beautiful gardens and down to the lake side – with its unique views.

Select suppliers will be also on hand to discuss the fine details and professional service that they can contribute to your special day.

During the event, you may also sample seasonal canapés from the Abbey's nominated caterers, Olive Tree and Pickled Walnut, and enjoy a fruit cocktail, courtesy of nominated bar provider Gorilla Events, which will include fruits from the Abbey's own orchards and maze.

Particularly attractive is the collection of nine cottages, a stone's throw from the venue and sleeping up to 49 guests, luxury award-winning accommodation has been provided within the Abbey's historic stable yard.

The stunning and rare 1927 'Crossley' classic car will be on display, manufactured by the current owner's great-grandfather, Sir Kenneth Crossley. This beautiful navy blue motor car has recently been acquired and is part of the Combermere wedding offer, for couples who marry at the venue to use within the estate.

Combermere Abbey is a privately owned historic estate and is located on the A530 six miles west of Audlem via the A525. Kindly note satnav is unreliable in this area. Car parking is complimentary and plentiful.
