Two Newsletter Editors

Audlem Parish Council's newsletter now has a new Editor. In fact we have two for the price of one – although, of course, it must be remembered that this is a voluntary position!

The post was recently advertised on Audlem Online and also on the Parish Council noticeboard and, after interviews today, I am delighted to announce that local residents Jennifer Cope and Kira Nicholls have both accepted the post of Joint Editor.

If you need to contact either of them to pass stories on for example, the way to do this remains the same, ie email newsletter@audlem.org">newsletter@audlem.org or post your item in the box situated in the Post Office.

Grateful thanks must go to Margaret Roberts who has produced the newsletter for the past six years. She has been responsible for bringing in many changes, including the introduction of colour photos and the increase from two newsletters per year to four. She also oversaw the inclusion of the useful list of phone numbers for village organisations and businesses in the Spring editions.

During her period as Editor too, the newsletter received a Highly Commended award at Cheshire East's Community Action's Presentation Evening, held on September 10th 2010 in Nantwich Civic Hall.

Margaret's will be a hard act to follow, but there is no doubt that the two replacement Editors will be up to it. Look out for their first edition which should be delivered to all homes in the Audlem area during the first week of August this year.
