Two people were arrested in Market Drayton early today by officers carrying out a drugs search warrant.
A man and a woman were detained after officers discovered suspected drugs with an estimated value of more than £1,000 at an address in Oakfield Road.
Twelve officers from Market Drayton, Whitchurch and Wem executed the warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at around 6.30am.
Sergeant Claire Greenaway, who led the operation, said a quantity of cannabis worth around £800 together with suspected cocaine worth £300 or £400 was seized. A substantial sum of cash, various items of equipment and a mini moto bike believed stolen from Merseyside, were also recovered.
She said today's warrant was the third in the Market Drayton area in recent weeks. "We received information from members of the public which helped us prepare today's action.
"There is huge concern in the Market Drayton community about illegal drugs and we are responding to those concerns".
Sergeant Greenaway added: "We will continue to act whenever we get information and urge people to contact us in confidence on 101 if they suspect drug activity, or indeed, any other criminal activity."
A 30-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman are currently in custody at Shrewsbury police station on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.
