Tree planting in Turnpike Field

National Women's Register is celebrating it's Diamond Anniverary in 2020 and to mark the occasion the Nantwich and Audlem Group has planted two beech trees- one in Brookfield Park, Nantwich and the other in Turnpike Field, Audlem.

Keith Thelwell, arborist at Cheshire East Council, planted the tree in Turnpike Field- many thanks are due to him for his time and effort at such a busy time of year.

The planting was attended by Lesley Higham, Rosie Slavinska and Jean Stainthorpe, all members of NWR- just to point out they are not Scarecrows- they are simply observing 'social distancing' whilst the tree was being planted!

Let's hope that the trees will grow and flourish over the coming years and act as a sign of hope for the future
