Things are looking UP! – this is the title of an event taking place throughout the Spring Bank Holiday this coming weekend celebrating our life on this planet.

At the Baptist Chapel will be an "All you ever wanted to know about climate change, peak oil and other environmental issues" exhibition called Equilibrium. Go and have a look for although there are some disturbing facts explained, there is also some good news to celebrate.

At St James' Church, we are looking forward to welcoming representatives from organisations such as Cheshire Wildlife Trust, RSPB, and Tearfund.

There will also be stalls featuring faith organisations involved in conservation and environment care. Our two local groups, ADAPT and Audlem Wildlife & Ecology Group (AWEG), will have stalls at the event as well.

On Sunday morning at 11.00am at St James' Church, all are invited to a special Audlem churches Songs of Praise Service. The speaker will be John Biggs, environmentalist and one time President of the Baptist Union.

Sunday evening at 5.00pm, Andrew Lobb, singer and song writer from Northumbria will give a concert at St James' on the theme of the early Saints in the landscape of Northumbria. This is well worth being present for.

This whole event is sure to interest, inform and stimulate you about the natural world we live in and our part in it.
