Teamwork and Sunshine!

Although it has been a short week in school, it has been as busy as ever with classes across school impressing me with their hard work and teamwork. There have been some wonderful glimpses of summer sunshine too, which has been wonderful to share together!

As you will know, we share our special School Prayer each day with children in school when we join together for Collective Worship. Our prayer is unique to our school and was written by our pupils with the help of children in school and Reverend Helen.

It summarises the care and value we place on our school community and how we all strive to make our school a warm, welcoming and secure place to be. Parents and carers may wish to share this special prayer with their children at home and I am copying it below for those who wish to do so:

Dear Lord
Thank you for our school, for the pupils, staff and families that we come from.
Thank you for the chance to learn, play, pray and grow together.
Our school is made of hearts, not bricks and is good because of the people inside it.
All of our friends are special to us.
Help us to get along and respect each other.
Let us bring kindness, peace and joy to our school.
Amen

Amethyst class are looking forward to their outdoor session this afternoon (Friday). They will be going on a minibeast hunt and enjoying 'worm charming' together – I wonder how many worms will be charmed?

FASA
Dates for your diary!

• FASA's AGM meeting will be held in school on Tuesday 17th May at 2pm.
• Film Night will be on Thursday 9th June from 5pm-7pm.
• There will also be a FASA Quiz Night at the Lord Combermere on Tuesday 21st June – more details coming soon!

ABC Childcare
It's not too late to register for the after school clubs on offer at ABC as there are some spaces left. If you'd like to book for next week and following weeks please contact ABC on 01270 748081.

Many thanks to all of the parents and carers who have taken time to complete our Homework Survey. It is important that we hear your views and it is good to have your feedback.

We will use feedback from these surveys together with pupil voice outcomes and staff feedback to inform our work on our Homework Policy for the new academic year.
