'Homewatch' has issued a notification for all rural communities to be aware of an incident between 12.30am and 1am on Tuesday 22nd August. Two male offenders parked their vehicle, a white LDV Panel Van – Registration Mark L435DOA, in a driveway near to where a Flat lorry is parked. The offenders removed dustbins full of scrap metal from the back of the lorry, placing them in their van. They were disturbed by a neighbour driving past and the offenders returned to their vehicle and drove off through fields opposite where the incident had taken place.

People are asked to be aware of this incident, particularly those with industrial/business vehicles on or around their property and are urged by Homewatch to remove any smaller items from vehicles and secure larger items wherever possible.

If anyone sees anything suspicious please contact the Home Watch Desk on 01244 614332. Please be on the lookout for this vehicle and if anyone spots this van please contact the Police asap on 0845 458 0000.
