We, ADAS, are set to put in place all the Summer display of flowers and hanging baskets at the end of the month.

As you will probably have seen in the newspapers, on Audlem Online, and the Parish Newsletter, we have been cut to zero in funds from the Cheshire East Council.

I am engaged in seeking answers to many concerns in my mind as to the fairness of this sanction as it relates to the whole of Cheshire East and once I have more information, I will advise all.

In the meantime, we are appealing for the very welcome annual support that all our local businesses kindly give in the form of sponsorship for our Britain in Bloom works. Additionally, two companies have expressed a desire to sponsor flower beds here following the news of the denial of funds from Cheshire East which will engender extra income.

We are also happy to note that the subs envelopes continue to be sent back through the good offices of the Post Office and William's (MacKelveys) newsagents.

All in all, we aim to continue to present a very good floral face to Audlem for the long season through to the frosts – regardless of the funding difficulties we face.
