The 60009 Union of South Africa is steaming into the Crewe Heritage Centre today..
The steam loco has been at York's National Rail Museum as part of an exhibition of a 'Great Gathering' of the six extant Gresley A4 Pacifics.

The impressive steam engine will be open for rides along the centre's demonstration track on Sunday, September 15.
A spokesman for Crewe Heritage Centre said: "Why not come along for a ride, talk to the train crew and see what one of these record breaking beasts sounds and looks like?"
The Union of South Africa will be running brake van rides all day Sunday. See the Crewe Heritage Centre for further information.
