St James' School Report – 1

This is the first part of an end-of-term school report written by the St James School Roving Reporters team.

Amethyst Class (R/N year)

Amethyst has been learning about how to form your letters properly and Stanley's Stick. They have found out about Handa's Surprise and have done a demonstration in their class assembly; they have presented some lovely art work in their classroom.

Sapphire Class (Year 1)

This year Sapphire have been learning about forces (here are some examples of words they have been using: push, pull ,hard pull and soft pull) and they have been on a school trip to Techniquest in Wrexham.
They have made some cardboard models about those forces. They also have been learning about Toys, Stanley Stick, Growing and the story of The Pesky rat and his Pets.

Pearl Class (Year 2)

Pearl have been doing about Pirates, they have been doing some art related to Blackbeard and did some drama based on two stories called The Night Pirates , and New home for Pirates. They also had an exciting pirate's day.
In science this term they have studied electricity and lighthouses. Some children have made a switch so they can light up the bulb.
